Hermeto Paschoal plays out "Tudo é Jazz"
festival - the composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist provided a
high-note ending for the third "Tudo é Jazz" (All is Jazz).The
festival drew around one hundred leading names as well as new players of
jazz and contemporary music to the historic city of Ouro Preto in the
state of Minas Gerais. The other attractions included the American singers
Patricia Barber and Jane Monheit, writer Jon Hendricks and musician César
Camargo Mariano.

Bocato - the trombonist from Santo André presented
his new work at the Sesc Pompéia Theater in São Paulo (SP) and his
bocato.tocafunk project at Urbano Club, where he faced the challenge of
choosing jazz musicians for the formation of a new house band.

Leo Gandelman - the saxophonist was soloist at two
concerts with Brazil's National Theater Symphony Orchestra staged as
tributes on Homeland Day. One was exclusively for the country's
authorities, with President Luís Inácio "Lula" da Silva
himself, and the repertoire included Tom Jobim's Luiza e Saudades do
Brasil, as well as the national anthem.

Highlight in Argentinean newspaper
The August 22nd issue of the Argentinean newspaper La Nación, one of the country's longest-running publications, mentioned Weril as an example of a successful Brazilian exporter. The article looks at the significant growth of Brazilian exports in the first half of the year, which it ascribes mainly to investments in technology and quality and notes, "Amid this 'boom', there are exceptional cases, such as wind instrument maker Weril, which is exporting 50% more to the United States this year (US$ 3 million) after the International Trombone Association described its product as the best in the world."

Am 32.International Trombone Festival in Helsinki,
Finnland trat das BRAZILIAN TROMBONE ENSEMBLE auf. Diese Gruppe von
6 Musikern, sie präsentierten ein Repertoire mit brasilianischer Musik,
wurde vom Publikum äusserst positiv aufgenommen, . Auch wurden sie
eingeladen am FESTIVAL BANQUET aufzutreten. Hier sind die Zuhörer
besonders kritisch, es sind die Teilnehmer am Trombone Festival und
zumeist professionelle Musiker, vor allem Posaunisten. Der Erfolg war
überwältigend ! Man konnte Kommenrtare hören wie:" they are
virtuous and do it with fun, what a wonderful combination", "wonderful
sound"," fantastic" und weitere.
Wir sind stolz und hoch erfreut, dass diese Musiker des BRAZILIAN
TROMBONE ENSEMBLE dieser Erfolg mit G.GAGLIARDI Posaunen
erreichten. Dies wurde von den Teilnehmern am Festival stets bemerkt und
bestätigt uns, mit diesen Instrumenten den richtigen Weg eingeschlagen zu
haben. |
